The German Embassy does not provide translation services.
However, the below listed translators for German, English and Bahasa Malaysia are registered with the Embassy.
A consular confirmation by the Embassy might be necessary, if you have to present the translated documents – by one of the translators listed below - to a Malaysian authority.

The fee for the consular confirmation would be: Fees
The translators will charge you a separate fee for their services. The Embassy certifies the signature of the translator, but not the correctness of the translation or the content of the document.

Certified and sworn Translators

Please take note that there are no certified and sworn translators in Malaysia, according to the German regulations!
Please check first with the local authority in Germany, where you will have to submit the document. The requesting German authority will decide in its sole discretion whether a translation prepared by a non-certified or sworn translator can be used for the requested purpose.

A certification is no longer required for translations made by translators listed on the Embassy’s list for use in Germany.

Nevertheless, this Embassy will still issue certifications for translations by translators listed on the Embassy’s list for the authorities in Malaysia.

Procedure for legalization and translation of Malaysian documents

1. The Original document has to be legalized (stamped and signed) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra)
2. Translation (including translation of the the stamp and signature) into German by translators registered with the Embassy
3. Proceed to the Embassy for certification and endorsement of the legalized and translated document
