During the last week of 2020, Ambassador Dr. Peter Blomeyer visited one of the beneficiaries of the Embassy’s Micro Project Fund – the Free Tree Society Centre Kuala Lumpur.
Earlier in the year, the Embassy had financed the installation of solar panels at the FTS Centre in Bangsar.

The panels provide FTS with electricity for their own consumption, thus reducing greenhouse gases and their electricity bill. It also complements the FTS educational curriculum, teaching and explaining to visitors the importance of renewable energy.

Apart from this, FTS projects and initiatives are centered around raising awareness – empowering people to preserve, conserve and save our environment.
Find out more information about FTS here:  https://freetreesociety.org/
