Important Information regarding appointments for Visa and Passport applications and other Consular Services

Visa applications are, until further notice, accepted only in those cases where individuals may enter Germany under the current restrictive regulations.

Applications for short term travel and non-compelling / non-essential travel purposes for fully vaccinated persons will be open from 28 June 2021 onwards.
Please take note that Malaysian citizens do not need a Schengen Visa to travel to Germany for a short stay!

Appointments are also required for all other consular services, e.g. family matters like registration of birth or name declaration, certifications of signatures, translations etc.

Appointments can be made through the online appointment system of the Embassy.

Access to the Embassy building:

When visiting the Embassy, you will have to wear a face mask. Upon entering the Menara Tan & Tan building, you will undergo a temperature screening and you have to register by using the “MySejahtera” app. If you have an elevated temperature, you might be refused entry.
Please be on time for your appointment. You may arrive not more than 5 minutes before or after your appointment. If you arrive outside this 10 minute window, the Embassy reserves the right to refuse entry due to social distancing requirements.
